Apex predator. There was absolutely no skirting around the obvious or naming the beast as anything less. This creature knew nothing of what it was like to live underneath anyone or anything and yielded to no one. And with a stature such as hers perhaps she was entitled to such a mindset. Where she stood, she loomed at a height that was generous for most females, especially those of the avian persuasion. Couple this with the fact that the predator had the habit of staring and anything that drew interest, matching unwavering intensity with a suspicious lack of blinking, and one might be led to believe that perhaps she was just trying to make those with weak hearts cower before her.
The savage female was brushed with a palette that was hewn from the crags and cliffs that were dusted with a fine layer of snow and frost, even if she did not come from such a place. Stormy grey plumage was set around that menacingly hooked beak, forming a fine crest that could be flared forth when provoked. And that color ebbed into a fine charcoal, covering the entirety of her back down to her tailfeathers. At the front a snowy, downy white was pulled taut. It looked almost decadent, plush, and tempting to reach for, but who might dare to risk losing a finger for such an earthly pleasure?
While those feathers made assessing her form somewhat difficult, it was clear that the predator was trim. Perfection was found not when there is nothing more to add, but instead when there is nothing that needed to be taken away. The harpy was built like the Amazon that she was, beautiful and strong. Formidable yet exquisite in the same moment. A pleasantly feminine silhouette was carved out, with wide hips and a generous bust--if only she could rein back that veiled threat that seemed so ever-present in all that she did...
